Here's what you'll get: Your Personal Energy Assessment To ensure you’re set up for real success, we’ll start by getting a sense of where your energy level is at baseline. That means understanding how much energy you have available to get things done, connect with others, and maintain emotional, mental, and physical fitness. Together we’ll create a plan to eliminate the most common issues that drain your energy while putting simple practices in place to help you access a higher quantity and quality of energy daily. Eliminating the Energy Drains Module 1: Closing Your Open Loops Open loops are the incomplete projects in your life. David Allen, author of Getting Things Done, defines a project as any task that requires more than one step to completion. In this first module, you’ll gain a greater awareness of how much of your energy is drained every time your mind comes across an open loop. You’ll make a priority list of the open loops that are occupying most of your attention and systematically close these top loops to plug the energy leaks. Module 2: Stop Overcommitting It is common for overachievers to find themselves overcommitted. Women in Medicine are no exception. In this module, you’ll learn the top 3 limiting beliefs that lead to overcommitting. Then, you’ll press pause to examine how full is your plate. Next, you’ll categorize what’s on your plate and take the necessary action to rebalance your commitments so it’s no longer overflowing. Finally, you’ll discover simple practices to begin making front-end decisions that will help you to maintain a more balanced plate. This will ensure there is room to take advantage of available opportunities as they arise that align with your priorities. Module 3: Correcting the Yes/No Imbalance In this final module, you’ll master the art of saying “No”. Saying yes to requests that are not aligned with what matters most to you breeds resentment and drains your energy. It also doesn’t leave space to say “Yes” to the things that you’re most passionate about. You’ll practice saying “No” to incoming requests using pre-written scripts that will build confidence and reduce guilt. You’ll also get crystal clear on the recognizing opportunities that are your “Absolute Yes”. The end result is a more balanced and empowered approach to manage future invitations. Bonus Module: Taming Your Toxic Relationships One of the major energy drains is dealing with a toxic relationship. For many people, the first example that comes to mind is a physically abusive relationship, however emotional abuse can be just as damaging and depleting. In this bonus module, you’ll learn the signs of toxicity in relationships, even when subtle. This includes romantic relationships, but also relationships with coworkers, employers, extended family members, friends, and even yourself (think of that harsh inner critic and how unkind she can be). You’ll begin to take steps to eliminate, or at least, minimize the toxicity and its negative impact on your energy and well-being.
