For Professional Women
From medical and legal professionals to successful entrepreneurs, women are carrying a lot on their plates. And sometimes, juggling more than one plate at a time.
Emerging research shows that women react to stress differently than men, and we do not approach managing stress in the same way,
Unfortunately, we often go it alone, putting on a brave face and soldiering through. We don't always reach out for help or support during these difficult times. We often feel like we're in it alone.
It doesn't have to be this way. I've designed programs and resources to provide simple strategies and resources for women to better navigate the life transitions that give rise to stress while making decisions from an empowered place.

As a single parent and busy physician,
I remember the challenge of balancing professional obligations with personal and family responsibilities (my son is now an adult and I'm a proud grandmother).
In speaking to working parents from diverse backgrounds I know that this pressure has only increased. And if you're like many parents, you may sometimes secretly wonder if you're doing a good enough job (I don't know a parent who hasn't).
I learned the best way to teach my son to cope with stress is to teach him directly and most importantly, to show him indirectly by positively attending to my own stress.
My goal is to raise awareness about stress in children and to highlight resources for parents to help kids and teens manage stress in healthier ways. This is why I wrote, Parenting Your Stressed Child, http://amzn.to/1i4mftQ
Stress can look different in children than in adults. And many parents don't know what to do when a child is stressed. Take a look at this brief article for 5 simple tips to help your child better manage stress, http://bit.ly/1ml4YnW.
